still testing
Edit: If you want to go directly to the most recent post in a thread, use 'New Topics' button at the top of the forum.
The recent threads box takes you directly to the first post in the thread.

IMO, no: clicking on the thread title in the recent threads box takes you to the "new" post there, which is indeed better than the first post. For example your 2nd post here. Couldn't test yet with several posts by different ppl in the same thread (maybe it would use first unread then, but it's rather a jump to the post of the posting person listed in the box).

...and I would suggest to leave the posting time out *in the recent box* if possible. It's everywhere else anyway, partly in red even, and on the front page this "3 minutes ago" looks like my teacher watching the clock.
(and now you have two posts by me in the box, to test where it jumps to by clicking on one - very precise, a good feature!)

Weird! That didn't work for me at all yesterday, which is why I edited my post. It would only go to my first post, which is why I added the time, as that's the direct link from the 'New Topics' only it doesn't work here! lol
Sooo, will take the time off giggle.
I also tried viewing the forum by phone and the recent threads box doesn't show at all, so will play with moving to the left.

yes, that worked - now it's on the left side. Looks clearer w/o the time, not sure I like it on the left side, but oh well... ETA: and now I know why: when you use New Topics, it keeps the room on the left side free for the Recent-box, but w/o showing it, of course - wasted place, and so "obviously" empty... === so, and - I am not a fan of why-questions to the Devs/Admins in the Playrix forum (so useless), but here.... WHY do we have an announcement that you are wearing a thong today?! Had to look it up, and the auto-correct wants to change it to "thing", so.... trying to confuse me, or what?!

giggle It's taken from a comedy skit show where a man would come out of a shed, say something funny then go back in again. Thongs are g-string knickers but thongs in Australia are flip flops

- I had hoped rather it was a random display of "funny" sentences than that you had chosen it. cos, unless it is a language lesson (for Australian <g>) , I still don't see the joke in it so really (apart from it being totally out of context in the situation you described ). you did notice my other remark about the room, too? benevolently? btw, does it show on phone now, if on left side?

- I had hoped rather it was a random display of "funny" sentences than that you had chosen it. It's random from my head Yes and no I've now got it to show, but on the phone you have to scroll right the way down to choose it sooo back to how it was Aaaaand... the recent thread link takes you directly to the last post if you're logged in, otherwise you're taken directly to the thread.

Maybe it shows different for others than for me. Actually it's very confusing and I have a hard time finding anything now. Also the (more important) left side is covered now by the left, so half of the text is missing. I'll try to give examples. This is my browser as I usually have it, two thirds of my big monitor already: When I make it as big as I can (and typo smaller) the best I get is this:

Part two: When I scroll through one thread, it looks like this: Takes me forever to get through one now, because half of the window is empty.

Well what you see is pretty much what I see. The only difference now is the box on the right with the recent threads is supposed to make it easier. If I remove it and we go back to the old style, you should see the date and times (which is currently covered) in the 'Recently Update Threads' and that's how you access the most recent post.
That's how I've always accessed the threads, so still not sure where you're having the difficulty.

Ok, well when you say you're scrolling through one thread, it's saying there are 64 pages (so I'm not sure what's happening there). We're still on one page in this thread, unless this post goes over to the next page.

From the phone, I can call up desktop enlarge it and then access the forum in exactly the same way as the computer or tablet.

Here's what I see when using the 'New Topics' button at the top. If I call desktop view on my phone I get the same only tiny but can enlarge any part and click on the relevant links. So what I did initially was change the date/time to different colours so that they would stand out. Then I added the box on the right, to show the 10 most recent posts.
