- but now it's all gone again? for me it was OK when on the right side - just saying. A pity it doesn't seem to work properly on Cathy's phone.

btw, what does the ⚓ anchor icon in front of the thread mean? is it a sticky in this subforum?

<tried to quote my post above, where I said it's all gone (assumedly cos not working for Cathy) > and now it's back: I see the former announcement about your tongs as "news" across the homepage, at the top. seems you want us to remember that statement for sure? *gg* ETA - trying to correct the quote, sigh, and btw, in Edit-mode it says at the bottom: "The thread in which you are posting will be falling." - what does THAT mean now?!

The anchor relates to a falling thread, which means that any posts won't it up again. I've done it for this thread as I've reverted to the old layout, so it's not relevant anymore. I've kept the plugin, just in case I'll be able to use it some time in the future...like if Cathy has to start using her mac

now, that is a feature I haven't heard of before. How strange - if something new is posted, why should it not be shown at the top? (it confuses / mixes up the "last post" display, cos the red times are in disorder) And just curious: as you "know" the programmer here, do you also have a possibility to ask them about sthg like Cathy's problem with their feature? as in , l o l

Yeah, it doesn't matter so much here, as our forum is so small, but it's a way of continuing non-relevant discussion while letting the thread die instead of locking it, and then it allows more relevant threads to take priority. Nothing can be done about Cathy's pc, as she can't update it without losing access to some of the programs she uses. So with the new stuff I was trying, her browsers just can't access/process it properly. I really wanted to know whether those on phones could access it any better, but when I tried on my phone, it made sense to use the desktop setting and then just zoom in. We shall see...

Thanks for the explanations but now I must say I really dislike this locking feature. Almost overlooked your reply, cos it was at the end of the listing, and then I don't know / remember whether I read the posts "4 hours ago" or not, and so opened those, too, which is difficult enough, cos it doesn't always jump to the post, but the poster's profile, and of course I had seen them... hopefully I get used to it, and it doesn't happen so often On a positive note: I won't post in the TS updates-thread to leave it uninterrupted, but wanted to say thank you - that is quite some work there! many thanks! much of it is new to me, or at least not remembered. and I must have overlooked the thread here... There I was wondering then, whether you could maybe add the year? I noticed when I was wondering about the zoo, and then more release dates - in TS forum it prolly comes from the post date, but not here. Would that be possible and feasible (zumutbar) for you, please? and in ANY case, thanks for the L O L!

Yeah, it's not something that I use very often, but have used it previously. Any threads that you haven't read yet, will show a blue 'new' icon, so should be easy to identify.
Thanks for mentioning the TS thread, I'd forgotten to lock that oneheadslap am locking it now, to keep it clean
Each post is the month and year that the update was released. It's something I've been copying over bit by bit and only made it live today. I thought it might be quite good, because we should be able to search for reference items in it too.

Thanks for the hint re the blue new, but as I'm jumping around here (or is that hoppin<g>) when there are several new posts in diff threads, I still do not like it ;P
The posts in the TS update thread contain a date, with a word for month and a number for the year, right..? I thought I had seen some w/o, or without the number at least, but if it was this way before already (and not a server delay or something *g*), then i can only explain it that I must have mistaken the number for the day (as Playrix posts the day in their posts). Whatever, if I read 15, 16, 17 as year, it works fine, yes, lol!
