Clay Mining (Seasonal) Tasks
Keep hold of your tools so that you have enough to complete a mining task. The number of picks needed for a Clay Task (approx 150) is more than needed for a regular mining task. If you are focussing on upgrading trains, factories & ships, and you have the dealer, buy ore whenever possible, so that you can save your tools for the regatta. Buying ore from the dealer, also enables you to buy the specific ore you need for your upgrades. If you don't have the dealer, it's worthwhile racing every other week, to enable you to build up enough supplies.
Coin (Seasonal) Tasks
The higher your level, the more coins you need to make. For those with millions of coins and plenty to waste, you can buy and sell decorations, such as the Upscale House and Castle Topiary. For the lower levels: sell unwanted decorations and building materials, fulfill heli orders (with booster), grow and sell easy crops (with booster), use the purple 'Profitable Booster' - doubles the amount of coins received when filling plane crates. Mining also brings in plenty of coins especially when finding treasure chests.
Crate (Seasonal) Tasks - Plane or Train
Helicopter Tasks
House of Luck Tasks
Save your clovers for the House of Luck task, if you have difficulty obtaining enough clovers to complete a task. If you're struggling to build up enough, then do ask in chat and we can ensure that you get first choice for filling planes & trains.
If you often have too many, you can make room for 5 more by tapping the 'Play' button at the House of Luck, but not actually using that turn. You can then use this turn when you start the HoL task.
Island Goods Tasks - Bring X number of products from the islands
The peach & watermelon tasks will require 3 & 2 trips respectively, unless you already have the ships in the port ready & waiting. Usually we will dump these tasks just for that reason, unless there are very few tasks on the board.
Island (Seasonal Tasks) - Send X number of ships to a specific island
These are not popular so reserving these tasks also helps indicate which of these can be dumped. The task can only be started by sending ships off to the islands, it has nothing to do with produce you may already hold in your port. However, you can always use the very last ships sent as a starter for an island produce task - eg Send 8 ships to Fisherman's Isle - you could include ingots with the last 4 ships sent to be ready for a shrimp task.
The task is complete as soon as the last ship is sent off, so you can choose another task, but beware of taking a mystery or another island task, as you will have to wait for this ships to return first.
Frutus Isle - 11 ships = min 3 trips @ 2-4 hours each trip.
Olivia Isle - 10 ships = min 3 trips @ 3.5-7 hours each trip
Tropica Isle - 9 ships = min 3 trips @ 4.5-9 hours each trip
Fisherman's Isle - 8 ships = min 2 trips @ 4-8 hours each trip

Be prepared for any eventuality! Try to ensure that your factories are not currently under full production, that you have fields ready to be harvested, your ships are in port and that your zoo can be filled easily.

Crate (Seasonal) Tasks - Plane or Train
These tasks are best for those who can play the game frequently throughout the day. Ensure you change your town name so that we know that you are working on the task, then we can ensure that all Crate Fillers (CF) have first choice when filling the crates.
Helicopter Tasks
Prepare your helicopter tasks beforehand, dumping any that require too many of certain items, or those that take too long to make. Then take the task when all heli orders are green. Jump into other towns and back again to avoid the wait time between orders.

- Reserve an island task and send all ships off ahead of time, before claiming your task
- prepare ahead of time, by keeping the appropriate stock in your port ready & waiting for the particular task to appear.
- For the olive, coconut & shrimp tasks, complete these in one trip by sending appropriate (silver or gold) ingots to fully enclose the item in a green circle, thus ensuring that you will receive 3 in each boat.
