Having to restrict someone from the Regatta should not be an issue for us, unless someone disappears mid-way through the race, or, is due to be away and forgets to opt out. This means that this would only be used on a very rare occasion, if ever, and we would only need to take this decision late on a Monday evening, if the relevant member still hasn't made an appearance in chat, to say that their situation has changed and that they will be around to race. When restricting a member from racing, they will only receive an in-game notification in their inbox. They do not appear to receive an external notification, which is . We are a closed co-op simply because of the hassles we have had with people joining on a Monday and not being able to communicate effectively before the start of the race. So...we could now change our settings to request only, allowing people to join and restrict new/late joining members from the regatta for the first week. We seem to be fine as we are in a closed co-op and with the numbers currently racing, especially with the relays, so restricting new members could be an option we can use in the future when recruiting new members. Other than this, there is no reason to use this option at all. One thing to note with restricting a member from racing is that it is instantaneous. Unlike a member changing their own racing status which would come into effect the following week, any person restricted mid-race, will be kicked out of the race immediately, and they will remain out of the race for the remainder of that week. They would have to manually change their settings to racing and will be entered into the forthcoming race.

re your last sentence: I have read in the thread I posted the link to earlier, that when a leader or co-leader opts someone out, neither the leader nor the member can change that back for an immediate effect. IOW, a change of the setting then works only for the next race. So, if the "restrict" happened inadvertently - which seems to be easy to do, due to the position of the button being close to "visit" - that was it for this member in the current race.
Bee, the OP in that thread, tested it and will post on Monday, whether the member gets at least the rewards for the current race.

Yes, DD, that's what I was meaning to say. I will amend it to make it clearer. Thanks

Thanks for the clarification/addition, Pink. As this is totally not what we are used to and so, wouldn't expect, it is worth it, I believe. Also, cos Playrix is 'of course' not.
