maybe with the interseasonal we're not racing against other teams with specific numbers of members? It says team up to complete co-op goals, so maybe it's more like the easter event last year. Could be good.. I hunted to find information about this, now got some kind soul (she has beta tester infos) to post this link about the New Interseasonal Regatta(Hope it works here.) Ah, and should somebody actually understand this ... any explanations are very welcome! I'm still on the "Häh, whaaaat ...??"-level.

Hi Cathy, thanks for posting this. I wanted to pin you down in the co-op, but, we either keep missing each out or not around long enough.
Can you post here what it is that you don't understand? There's so much info in your link that I don't know where to start breaking it down.
I've asked DD to do the same as she said that she didn't understand the first part.
I'm gonna send a message out to everyone re: your link, but I don't want to do that until some of us at least are on the same page.

Well this whole three tasks in one chest is not really comprehensible for me. But I guess it kinda explains itself as soon as we do it. That everybody can do as much or not so much anytime the whole week sounds very promising, but again I cannot really see how this can work. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this new game, should be fun.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it too! This hopefully will be a good shakeup of the regatta. If you think about it like a combo of 3 tasks, only they can be completed 1, 2 or 3 people. As each chest has 3 tasks, 3 players can work on one chest or 3 players could work on one chest each. As there are 9 chests on the board to start with, that's 27 tasks from the off, if we choose not to dump any chests. So as soon as 1 person finishes their task, they can choose another task in the same chest, if available or choose to work on another chest. Though they do say if we want the best rewards, we need to work on the better chests which means co-ordinating properly. Could be ok as long as everyone communicates something in chat, but that will also be slower for those that do them, as that could/would mean dumping the easy chests.

Ok, thank you, Sharon, can follow most of the explanations. So in that week the task board has chests, wooden, iron, etc., instead of the tasks ... Will we agree on their idea of "more valueable"? . And if one chest is completed by 2 persons/so one has done 2 of the subtasks, does that make a difference in the "valuable" rewards they get? Ok, and there's that: This may cause confusion even after we saw the new interseasonal in action. Let's see.

The chest stuff and the new starting times are confusing IMO, but I'll rather not try to explain in English, what I don't understand in an English description about something I haven't seen yet. My suggestion is also (like Cathy) to check it out and test it together, when it's life (live??), as we did with the reservation feature. I do think we'll need a group effort for that, incl. the English natives for explaining. And I find it important to know about the Recommended Strategies (at least to know what is there; I don't see yet how we "transport" (and do!) that working together). Thanks for posting, Cathy, and thanks for asking, Pink.

So in that week the task board has chests, wooden, iron, etc., instead of the tasks ... Will we agree on their idea of "more valueable"? . And if one chest is completed by 2 persons/so one has done 2 of the subtasks, does that make a difference in the "valuable" rewards they get? No, the more 'valuable' rewards are in the best chests and a person doing one or more tasks in a chest, will still only get one reward. They don't get 2 rewards for completing 2 tasks in the same chest. I've put valuable in quotes as I'm assuming that's Playrix definition and not those who put together the tutorial. Also I don't care how valuable the chest is, I ain't sending 5 planes, or doing rubber or silk There's a couple of points I don't understand yet. The tutorial states If a task times out within the chest, the chest will get dumped automatically and everyone who did tasks in that chest will not get a chest towards their rewards. and Only coleaders and leader can dump a chest that is in progress. If it’s dumped, it will not impede you from collecting all 9 chests at the end of regattaIt suggests that when a task times out anyone working on that chest will lose that chest and the ability to get all 9 chests, although if dumped it won't. However, it could be the way it's been worded, or it means that if a task looks like it's going to time out, it would be better to dump that chest. The other unclear part is You can only do 1 task at a time. When your task is done, even if your chest is not completed, you can take another task in any chest but later it states A coordination on who is doing what task is highly recommended to finish each chest as fast as possible since each chest that is being worked on WILL STAY on the board and take up that cell until it’s completed or dumped! So only take a longer task if you prepped it! Otherwise the whole team will have to wait for you to finish before they can get their rewards and a new task back!So these are all things to bear in mind. I think as long as we view the interseasonal week as we normally do, in that what we do doesn't really matter, especially while we're learning, that we will most probably lose chests and tasks from dumping etc. Most of all, did those who took part in the interseasonal enjoy it?

The chest stuff and the new starting times are confusing IMO, The taskboard now will have 9 chests, some less 'valuable' than others. eg Wooden has the easiest tasks and Precious the hardest. So, for the first week anyway, or at least the start of the week, it's probably best to ignore the value of the chest and just work on the tasks we think we can complete. The start will be as soon as the regatta starts, we can start. As we're not in competition with other co-ops, there's no need for us to start racing at 2pm UTC. From now on, that start time will be kept for the seasonal races.

Yes, that with the immediate start I got (hm, do I sound like Yoda here?). What I found confusing was that one can join in later or anytime (too lazy to search it in the foreign text again). That might simply not matter anymore, as interseasonal does not seem to be competitive at all anymore (or maybe just IN the coop, I so don't see how this working together will work (w/o stress)), just unclear about it.

So, for the first week anyway, or at least the start of the week, it's probably best to ignore the value of the chest and just work on the tasks we think we can complete. The taskboard will have 12 chests (like the 12 tasks) but only 9 reward chests to open, with collecting points for doing tasks. So also like in a normal race, smaller co-ops will probably not get to open all 9. The difference is we now get 1 point per task ... (can it get more confusing?) About the chest values it was said several times it would be better to start with the harder chests to get more prizes. Couldn't find out why, tho. Here the main of the convo from the beta testers while they were testing, in 3 posts, if I manage it. grin

Ooh thanks Cathy. couldn't read these posts on the tablet for some reason. I take it they're saying do the harder chests first as you get rewards for the first 9 chests completed. So if you do 9 easy chests, then work on harder ones, you'll get 9 of the lower rewards and none of the rewards for the harder chests. 12 chests is even better! I thought the shot of the chests was the taskboard not the rewards, duh! lol 428 tasks divided between 17 possible racing members is approx 25 tasks each - less if Suz and Pinky join in

Interesting! so, a lot of chests... curious to see whether they will be worth doing so many tasks! Thanks for posting it, Cathy I think this thread should be moved to the private forum, due to all the names etc.

So far the main question is... how does it work? lol
Edit: I've now brought the thread back, as there are enough reference/links to this info on the ts forum now.
