hm... as I replied there: I didn't notice it before, but agree it would be nice - "it" being more women shown as 'working' in town. A well-thought out post I found, esp. as the OP found a good explanation for the Devs not having thought of it more, thus, no terrible reproaches or anything: "Women Performing Jobs In Animated Deco & Around Town" forum.playrix.com/showthread.php?189131-Women-Performing-Jobs-In-Animated-Deco-amp-Around-Town&p=1058286&viewfull=1#post1058286Nonetheless, thommmes (Moderator, Thomas) has posted he sees it as start of a political discussion and prefers it to die down. Race and gender are indeed the core of political correctness (not harassing someone for one of them, that is); funny enough, I didn't find they being banned in the TS forum rules ;-) But anyway, his wording is cautious and not totally erroneous either, so... hm. Still, somehow it seems not right, that one shouldn't be allowed to ask for more balance in gender display. Because, that is the goal of this balance, and of equal rights, I think. Besides, asking for folks in wheelchairs and other handicapped ppl to be shown in town more made it to the Frequently Suggested Ideas thread, and that was OK then? hm. but can't post it over there now, of course.

Hi DD! Thanks for posting your thoughts here. Saw the thommmes reply, which kinda upset me. And did you notice the post before was already edited? Last edited by Nevada; Reason: Unnecessary comment removed.
Not sure what to make of this, but don't intend to let that just sit there. (What do you mean with you cannot post there? I hope you're just referring to your comment from here.)
Addendum: Now, that's interesting. Thommmes right now has removed his post. Here's a last glimpse of it.

wow, he removed it already? well, or someone else... How nice for the curious now that you made the screenshot, cathy! (where is our thumbs-up-smiley?) with not posting there I meant my comments and I "can't", cos I know from experience how these discussions develop. Neither "side" can convince the other anyway, and it becomes unpleasant fast, and I am not in the mood for such (the less in English, and I refuse to discuss anything 'serious of that kind' in English with a native German anyway). Besides, the risk of what he "feared" or anticipated is there. Nevada's correction was there before already, yes. I have seen the poster (of the 2nd post here) in other threads, relatively new, and must say I am not surprised about the correction - it seems to be a poster with a knack for either being impolite or snotty. The "best" so far, if you want to look for it, was - in one of the threads about the Valentine's stuff, I believe it was one of the smaller/newer ones, not the one that Pink mentions in the other thread abo ut the Tunnel of Love - they wrote (though I bet it's a 'he' *g*) first several times they don't see nor understand what everyone is upset about, they tried but ooh CAN'T see anything - then post finally someone PM'd them the upsetting contents, but they CANNOT understand the uproar at ALL! - , I SO saw this coming!

Yes DD, I've noticed that too. They need to engage brain and mouth with decorum on the forum! nh, Cathy has posted a screenshot of Thomas' post. I know that this has been raised previously but I couldn't find anything in my searches. I'm not sure why Thomas' thought it might get too political.

hi Pink, I don't remember something like this topic, so it might have been before my time in the forum (March 2016), or archived, which someone mentioned lately (could have been that either hyacinth or Amoria moved stuff, when they started). Do you remember the "outcome / consensus" of that / the earlier thread(s)? hi nh, yes, Thomas' post was gone already, when I posted, had looked again after Cathy posted her addition. And you're right, of course, I meant the third post by the "strange" poster! The 2nd was my own, lol. (not going to edit it, as Pink quoted it already). JIC: You might see Cathy's screenshot big enough for reading, when you click or double-click it.

I don't remember how long ago it was posted but it wasn't contentious. I only remember the initial focus was of the women working in the fields, while mainly men working in the factories. I still haven't quite got rid of the memory of the initial change to the HoL woman, with her low cut top and heaving bosom lol, so I think it'll be a while before we see any real equality.
