Ok, so this week has been a really great week for the team, but may have been pretty good or bad, depending on how many tasks some of you wanted to complete. Using this week as a gauge, next week may well be very similar when starting with a very low task. So, rather than asking members to stop or slow down, I will be doing a naughty! Imp will be racing and although I'll be calculating the tokens for the decs, will also be quite happy to slow down or stop if necessary, but... Pink will opt in and not race at all!!! That will give us a 2k deficit before we even start, so that means everyone else should be able to race as they see fit. This sounds like a very good idea and should work out smoothly! Now we just have to see what the next week/s bring, lol

Just as an addendum: Only concern about low task is what DD mentioned too, that it would make more sense for a lower level to start. My question is why does it matter? My reply earlier was that I didn't think it mattered who took the first low task and I don't see that anyone's level makes a difference. Am I missing something? Thank you all for all the offers for race starters & backups. I'll add nh & bree as backups. Mel's just rejoined us too, so she may well be up for this in future. Yay!!

I do agree with reservations being with a two hour limit because for me there are days I have trouble staying awake or have a ton of appointments or treatments and can’t login often, I personally find it hard when I do login and find no task or only reserved task for long periods and I know if I don’t start something at that time then I might not be able to make it back to start another for a long period of time. One thing I would say here, is that often you will ask if a certain task has been reserved and then disappear for a few hours when there's no one else around in chat. As a lot of your tasks are long crops and it's really only Misty and nh that would take those, I'd suggest checking for messages to see if it has already been reserved. If there's no message, then send out a message to reserve them for yourself. That way, you can start planting immediately.

Am I missing something?Ah, no, not missing anything there. It's just the thought that it would be an advantage for lower levels, whereas higher levels can do 135s just as easy as lower ones.

So, to clarify we are to leave a lower task on the board at all times, or just at the beginning?
Also, other dumping rules apply, correct? (with the exception of a low task) anything under 125, planes & trains (unless wanted by someone)?

I would like to ask that 135 train tasks be left on the board in the first two days or so, please, as (at least) both Mac and I like to do them. I esp. as the fast tasks are all gone in the beginning, well, fast *g*.
Re. the long crop tasks above, I thought I saw that Tami is doing them, too? just not saying anything anywhere, it seems. Not sure it changes anything, just saying.

The lower task is just for the start off, then dumping as usual. 135s: Of the seasonal tasks coins and crate-filling we leave just 1 at a time, as well as trains. Planes & crops like rubber and silk are dumped unless requested. Happy racing!

Just to clarify, my post above meant to ask: do a little check first, please, before deleting a (2nd) 135 train task right away w/o asking. There might be two ppl wanting them. Thank you

So, to clarify we are to leave a lower task on the board at all times, or just at the beginning? The low task is only up until the race starts. Also, other dumping rules apply, correct? (with the exception of a low task) anything under 125, planes & trains (unless wanted by someone)? Ordinarily yes, but... I would like to ask that 135 train tasks be left on the board in the first two days or so, please, as (at least) both Mac and I like to do them. I esp. as the fast tasks are all gone in the beginning, well, fast *g*. Trains are normally dumped unless requested, but I'm happy for 1 train to be left on the board, especially with the racing numbers we currently have, if there are a good number of members that will do them. Right now I have no idea how many will do trains. I won't if I can possibly help it and Tami feels the same, I think. On the other hand, there may well be enough of us racing for a quick turnover of tasks. We can leave 1 train task on the board for the first couple of days and then see how things play out over the week. If a train seems to be there too long we can call out in chat to see if it can be dumped or not, just like other 135 tasks that have been on the board for hours. Re. the long crop tasks above, I thought I saw that Tami is doing them, too? just not saying anything anywhere, it seems. Not sure it changes anything, just saying. Tami will only choose to do crop tasks around the 3-4hr mark if I remember correctly. Other than that she would do longer crops if she gets one as mystery task. The lower task is just for the start off, then dumping as usual. 135s: Of the seasonal tasks coins and crate-filling we leave just 1 at a time, as well as trains. Planes & crops like rubber and silk are dumped unless requested. Up until now, planes and trains were dumped unless requested. Crops like silk and rubber weren't and shouldn't be dumped unless they've been on the board for hours . They've never been requested only reserved. Not sure if this is just a language issue though. To clarify - To request a task - someone posts in shout requesting that should a certain task appear on the board, not to dump it. eg plane, train. To reserve a task - someone wants a particular task already on the board and sends out a message. I will sometimes call out asking for a particular task not to be dumped, so that if no one else wants it, I will take it some time later. If someone else wants it, they take it.

Not sure if this is just a language issue though. Yes, that must be it. As soon as I have figured out the difference, I will surely happily reserve a silk task. grin (Sorry, couldn't resist) (Argh, seems impossible for me to quote right as soon as I take parts out of the quotation ... Does anybody know how to do that?)

Racing every week, but cannot remember anybody ever doing rubber or silk. Correct me if I'm wrong: Rubber, silk, anyone? That's probably 'cos they're being dumped! Sorry couldn't resist! The long crop takers are nh, Bree & Toad. They've always taken the long crops, because they're not always around. Not sure now if Misty is included in this. Hell! I've even done a silk task overnight, because I was desperate. Over a year of racing and this is the first I've heard of them being dumped. Under the current racing strategy only trains and planes are noted as being routinely dumped, there's no mention of silk or rubber being dumped, so this is not something that has ever been discussed. Don't get me wrong, if nh, Bree and Misty would rather they get dumped, that's fine by me, but I would like everyone to be on the same page, and I can update our current racing strategy accordingly.
