No need to opt in or out. Anyone already opted in can join in at any time, or, can choose not to join in without needing to opt out. Anyone opted out can opt in to join in at any time. We should be able to take it relatively easy this week as we are not in competition with anyone else. We will be learning as we go along, so probably will make some mistakes, but we have nothing to lose and only chests to gain.

Thank you, Sharon, I think I got it now: So implicit this means, once you're opted in it's the same as usual regarding the rewards. So there's no racing here, racing there, or hopping around in general like I thought.

I still think this working with 1 to 3 ppl on 1 to 9 chests, while the other half of the Coop is dumping stuff, preferably w/o talking about it, will be chaos enou<g>h. headslap

There's 12 chests to choose from, so in effect that is 36 people working on tasks. Each time a chest is taken or dumped, we have to wait 1 hr for a new chest to appear. So we can't really go madly dumping, and there 'should' be enough tasks for everyone, but obviously there won't be and how many of them will be crappo?!! Also, those who are around when the regatta kicks off, can start working on chests, there's no waiting for a 2pm UTC start. We also shouldn't dump a chest that someone else is working on, so there could be a lot of waiting for new cells to refresh.

I'm not sure what you mean by So implicit this means, once you're opted in it's the same as usual regarding the rewards. Anyone opted in, but not working on any chests, will not get any rewards. They have to complete a chest in order to get the reward from that chest. So there's no racing here, racing there, or hopping around in general like I thought. As we have 428 tasks to complete to get all rewards, that's a lot of tasks to leave a co-op to do, if someone decides to go off visiting.

12 chests appear on the board with 3 tasks per chest. In order to claim your chest reward, all 3 tasks in the chest that you are working on need to be completed. All 3 can be completed by 1, 2 or 3 people. The chests are wooden (easy), iron, gold and precious (hardest)
Things we need to be aware of before choosing a task:
Edited: since race start
Gold and Precious Chests
- Don't just jump for the easiest task in a chest - ensure that the other 2 tasks can, and will be completed also. Otherwise you might end up having to complete all 3 tasks by yourself, such as send 6 planes, 11 trains, growing silk, rubber etc. This could block that slot up for a day or more, as we can only work on 1 task at a time.
Wood and Iron Chests
- Just take the easy tasks and then once completed, any remaining and worthless tasks can be left and the chest dumped. This allows us to work on our co-op goals while leaving us open to collect the tasks from the better chests.
- We are awarded the first 9 chests that are completed. So, if player A completes 10 tasks from wooden chests and 2 tasks from precious chests, player A will need to wait for each chest to be completed in order to claim that chest reward. If the 10 wooden chests get completed before the 2 precious chests, Player A, will not receive any rewards from the precious chests, instead only receiving 9 wooden chest rewards. As the better rewards are to be found in the better/harder chests, it makes sense not to fully complete the wood and iron chests. If anyone wants to work solely on wooden chests that's fine, please say so though in chat and try to work on the hardest task first.
- We have to wait 1 hour for each cell to refresh after completion or dumping of a chest.

That's brill! Thank you very much, Pink! The walkthrough states - "If a task times out within the chest, the chest will get dumped automatically and everyone who did tasks in that chest will not get a chest towards their rewards."This is unclear to me whether that means those who were working on that chest can only claim a max of 8 chest rewards, having lost that chest, or whether it's only that chest that is lost and the ability to claim 9 still remains.
Given this is Playtrix I'd say "will not get" is a term for "lose", lol

Brill for that DD had just come here to post that. This is the actual text You are allowed to work on as many chests as you like. However, only 9 chests that were completed first will become your personal rewards.
A better way to maximise tasks and earn more points towards your coop goal would be to make 1-2 easy tasks (say, that take no longer than 15 minutes to finish) from wood/iron chests and then dump those chest before they are fully completed. That way you get points towards your coop goals, but you won’t end up with cheap chests as your personal rewards. It is more efficient, in my opinion, to allow three members to work on same golden/precious chest, because they will be done quicker. Then once everyone collected personal rewards, you can start doing easy tasks from any chests and dump the rest So any crappy tasks can be dumped after we've done the easy ones in wood and iron. As an addition to this, can anyone taking a task in a chest with a yucky task announce that it's ok to dump once you've completed your tasks. That way whoever completes any easy remaining task, can dump it as soon as they've finished.
