As promised here's a piccy of my bunnies from way back when... Simply titled 'Bunnies in Love' Grouch and Springer The Lop is the boy in this photo,as is the boy in the photo below Max and Zoom Max is the only rabbit I didn't name. Can't you tell? They were all rescues. Zoom was a New Zealand white that I took on at a month old with her much larger and greedier sister Gannet! But I can't find a piccie of her at the mo. Unfortunately, lops are purposely bred to have long ears, some even trail on the floor which means that they can get frequent infections, get trodden or sit in dinner, water, dirt etc. One thing I've found tho, is that all 3 of the lops that I've had, have been partially deaf. Normally, rabbits have incredible hearing. Anyway, this is they!

The bunnies are cute. I can't see the "face" of Max, where is f.e. his mouth? And how comes bunnies are in a rescue?! Can you also give the legend/explanation for the symbols/events in the Calendar, pls? In the firsts they explained them. A bit, anyway

Ooh sorry DD, thought I'd already responded to this.
Have edited initial post
Max's nose is resting at the base of Zoom's ear and his mouth is just under his nose.

Many thanks for all the explanations, Pink! I still don't get it: who puts bunnies in a rescue? even if I "found" one in the open, I wouldn't think of taking it with me and bringing it to a rescue center...?

Hi DD, domesticated bunnies are different than wild bunnies and depending on where we live, we may or may not ever see wild ones.
Rabbits are just like any other animal; bred for pet shops etc, sold to people who have no clue about what they're taking on, just think they're cute, and then realise that they won't/can't cope with them, so they end up in rescue centres or else put to sleep.
All of mine have been rescues, but with Zoom and Gannet, they were purposely bred for use in laboratory. Then either the breeder or lab ceased trading, and over 1,000 rabbits ending up being taken in as rescues. Rescue centres, pretty much all over the country were helping to take them on and rehome them.

every event that would make us compete together again, instead of against everyone and the rest of the world, would be welcome for a change! there they claim to reward working together, and then these latest events and regatta tasks!

I bought the bunnee house, although I find it too expensive for being so small. BTW, did you notice that both the Egyptian house (from Yacht Club) as well as the bunnee house (pic below) have ppl who clean up in front of their front door? I had to minimize the pic size, so I hope it still works. Click on them to enlarge.
